Teenager Shot Dead In South Jersey

Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man in South Jersey, authorities said.

Malik Nath of Camden was taken by police to Cooper University Medical Center on Thursday, July 7, they said. Nath was pronounced deceased at approximately 10:22 p.m., according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

At approximately 10:02 p.m., officers from the Camden County Metro Police Department responded to the 1900 block of South 8th Street, Camden, in reference to a ShotSpotter activation and 911 calls for an individual who was shot. Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
